Bridal Shower Ideas

Planning a bridal shower can take ALMOST as much time as planning the actual wedding. Many a loved-ones struggle with how to create the perfect event for the bride-to-be. Friends and loved ones in Bellingham WA and Whatcom County have a lot of options when it comes to creating a memorable and creative evening.

Have a picnic or garden party theme. Holding a lunch or brunch outside means not having to spend a lot of time and money on decor since mother nature can lend a helping hand. There are several parks in the area, such as Fairhaven park and Hovander in Ferndale that provide a nice space. A back yard with beautiful flowers is also a good choice.

Table decorations don't have to be expensive or elaborate. Use inexpensive vases (can be found at the Dollar Tree and other discount retail outlets) as the centerpieces. Simply add water, a few fresh floral stems and some sequins and glitter. Place the vases in a group or put a single one on a mirror for a more polished look.

Keep the foods simple. Serve a salad or finger sandwiches, a fruit plate or veggie tray. Water with a lemon wedge is refreshing and simple, or serve bottled water. For dessert, consider having a custom cake created in wedding colors or one with an engagement ring theme.

Plan some entertainment for the special day. Consider renting a limousine or party bus from Best Limousine Service in Bellingham. We have the newest, largest and BEST fleet in the northwest. We pride ourselves in treating our customers with respect and offering the most prompt and elegant service in the area.

Use your time to drive down world famous Chuckanut Drive or visit a favorite bar or dessert cafe. Relax and listen to your favorite playlist or whoop it up and party into the night.

How organized of a traveler are you?

Do you have plans for traveling any time soon? Many people like to escape the rainy Bellingham weather this time of year and seek out warmer climates. Others travel for business all year round. Everyone who travels knows how important it is to be organized. An organized start to any trip can help to make the entire vacation a success.

Here is a packing list to help you figure out what to bring and what to leave at home. Having a list can assure you of the fact that you won't forget to pack something essential and can help save you time as you to try to figure out what is most important and what you can live without.

Try to pack your bags a couple of days in advance. This will help you discover if you happen to be out of something important such as a medication or if you need to buy a new scarf or shirt for your trip. It also gives you time to relax before heading on vacation and it lets you have time to deal with last minute details should something come-up.

Arrange for transportation a few days in advance as well. Don't wait until the morning of your departure to call a taxi or town car service. Many of these companies can not service you on a moments notice or do not offer 24 hour service. Call Best Limousines and Sedans 360-734-8889 for reliable and luxury transportation to the airport.

Do you agree with the items on this packing list? What would you add or subtract? Leave us a comment or email us at info@kings-coaches.com

Luggage Features for Hassle-free Travels

By

Rent a luxury sedan from Best Limousines

You'll only ensure hassle-free trips if you have everything you'll need with you and then some. Frequent travelers know the importance of organization and portability, especially when trips involve hustling between hotels, airports, and destinations. With these considered, nothing really beats good luggage as the most important personal effect you'll ever have. Think about it: your stuff has to go through the security checks and handling, and it'll surely have its fair share of tumbles on the cargo hold and on the conveyor belts. Good luggage is an investment, and even if you maintain that your weathered, trusty set doesn't need replacements anytime soon, it's better to be safe and replace it than to be sorry and regret the neglect.

Mind the Features

The features that make up good luggage may already be familiar, but few people actually scrutinize luggage for all its worth. It pays to be finicky with the details, though, especially when it comes to the build. You have to ensure everything stays intact when the going gets tough. It only takes a small tear to lose your personal effects. You can't afford to have your bags carried aside and sorted because the flaps and seams tore open like a sack of potatoes. You should look for durable, double stitching. If the luggage comes as an assembly of pouches and flaps, it's better if each part is stitched separately to ensure the pieces hold. Some manufacturers scrimp on quality by running everything in one stitch, and seams are only as strong as the weakest part.

Rolling Bags Ensures Ease of Travel

Luggage is built to meet different needs, so you'll have to invest in several pieces for your travels. Rolling bags are very versatile, especially if you're constantly on the move and you just can't carry all that dead weight. Make sure the bag's wheels have sturdy casters that will bear full loads, though. Rubber-on-metal casters are better than plastic. Choose a retractable handle of reinforced steel, and check the make to ensure reliability with repeated use. Inferior quality is usually indicated by a rickety handle or wobbly wheels. The best rolling bags feel like a breeze to lug around; anything less than this and you should look for something better.

Duffels and Shoulder Bags for Mobility

Rolling bags may be convenient, but you really can't pull those casters on any surface. You'll have to consider a duffel or shoulder bag if you're traveling on cobblestone or dirt. Shoulder bags and duffels have to be durable on the straps and seams, and the buckles and clasps should hold. Separate compartments ensure your stuff is organized and easily accessible.

Get Rugged with a Daypack

If you'd rather have both hands free to move or carry additional luggage, then go for a good-sized daypack. Check for durable zippers and shoulder straps, and it's better if the pack has front and side buckles so everything's compact and clinging to your body. You can check Jetsettr if you want to complete your travel gear with essential accessories, especially if you're traveling overseas and security is an issue. Tags, locks, and labels ensure everything's where they should be. You'll also hustle between destinations easier if you can spot your luggage coming at you ten yards away.
